Should i paint my kitchen cabinets the same color as my trim.
Because the traditional way of creating contrast between the trim and walls means if you keep your creamy trim your walls still need to be darker so that your trim doesn t end up looking dirty.
In fact i love it so much i even want to use the same color formula you shared on the lid.
This is often the case if the rest of the trim in the house is off white or if the counters or flooring in the kitchen are on the warm side of the color spectrum.
Trim or cabinets and are not repainting it i would highly suggest that you paint whatever it is you want to paint the exact same colour.
For example if your counters have a lot of brown or yellow tones then an off white color can be a great compliment.
If you don t it s sometimes hard to determine where you should make a switch.
Consequently the selection process calls for flexibility and the same goes for choosing kitchen cabinet paint colors.
If the walls are white or off white you pretty much have to go for a darker color for the cabinets and the obverse is true that if the walls are a dark color you should go with a lighter color.
I just finished painting my kitchen cabinets and frames white.
But it can be a lot easier and definitely less expensive to just paint the walls the same white or cream colour as the trim.
But here is my dilemma.
It isn t that the cabinets and trim shouldn t match but that they don t have to.
Instead of painting the trim the same as the walls you could consider a color that would compliment other finishes in your kitchen even something darker so that you notice the view out the window not the window trim but if you have a lot of trim and light walls it could look like you are outlining the room in the trim.

Same color cabinets and baseboard trim may divide the focus particularly when there s a lot of contrast with the wall color.

Medium brown baseboards may be too prominent in a room with plain white.
I believe the trim in the kitchen should match the trim in the rest of the house since i believe the permanent features of the house trims interior doors etc should have continuity.
Going with the same or similar color as the walls on the perimeter cabinets can make the kitchen look larger and the island stand out if it is contrasting.
I totally agree with the white on white beautiful.
If you already have something painted white in your room ie.
Instead of painting the trim the exact cream which is never always exact given how light and placement plays such a large part split the difference for a warmer white for the trim and paneling.
