Because the traditional way of creating contrast between the trim and walls means if you keep your creamy trim your walls still need to be darker so that your trim doesn t end up looking dirty. In fact i love it so much i even want to use the same color formula you shared on the lid. This is often the case if the rest of the trim in the house is off white or if the counters or flooring in the kitchen are on the warm side of the color spectrum. Medium brown baseboards may be too prominent in a room with plain white. I believe the trim in the kitchen should match the trim in the rest of the house since i believe the permanent features of the house trims interior doors etc should have continuity. Going with the same or similar color as the walls on the perimeter cabinets can make the kitchen look larger and the island stand out if it is contrasting. If you already have something painted white in your room ie. Instead of painting the trim the exact cream which is never always exact given how light and placement plays such a large part split the difference for a warmer white for the trim and paneling.
